Jen Greenberg is first exposed to the marriage epidemic when her best friend announces her engagement. As the epidemic spreads to other friends, Jen develops symptoms like experiencing chest pains at the mere sight of bridal gowns.
Jen searches for a husband, believing that a marriage proposal will cure her. She gets so caught up looking for a treatment, namely an engagement ring, that she forgets about an important detail like love. As a result, she breaks up with the guy she falls in love with when he mentions that he has no plans to get married until he's well into his senior years.
Determined to beat this epidemic, Jen goes into remission when she meets a nice guy who happens to be looking for Ms. Right. But is this really the man she wants to spend her life with, or is she just staying with him so that she too can walk down the aisle? Perhaps the road to recovery is more about finding true happiness than saying "I do."
